| Our company will make every effort to
improve products and develop new products to meet diversifying needs
of its customers concerning the acrylonitrile business inherited from
Mitsubishi Chemical Corp., Mitsubishi Rayon Co., Ltd. (that took over
Nitto Kagaku Co., Ltd.), and Dia Floc Co., Ltd., on the basis of many
superior technologies fostered over many years by these companies.

This laboratory is mainly developing
new products to carry the future of our
company as its main base for research & development
related to acrylic monomer.
It is located within Chemical Development Laboratory
(Tsurumi-ku Yokohama) of Mitsubishi Rayon Co., Ltd.
and is promoting research & development of catalysts
and processes related to acrylonitrile and bio-method
acrylamide.
Especially for the bio-method acrylamide process,
the biotechnology was industrially applied on general-purpose
chemicals for the first time in the world by the
former Nitto Kagaku Co., Ltd. that led to winning
many prizes.
In the future as well, we will promote our research
activities to further develop unique technologies
while effectively utilizing the research resources
of the parent company. |

This laboratory is located within Chemical Development Laboratory (Tsurumi-ku
Yokohama) of Mitsubishi Rayon Co.,Ltd and is active as the central base for
technology
development of polymer business and technical
services.
It developed epochal high-molecular flocculants
including amphoteric type and amidine polymer,
and has developed 2-way system, a sludge treatment
system, utilizing its characteristics.
Presently, it is improving these unique technologies
and endeavoring to create a clean environment
by making efforts to develop new flocculants,
systems, and applications.
Main themes of research & development
- Development of characteristic flocculants
and development of application systems
- Improving/refining of existing polymers including
amphoteric type and amidine type and the treatment
systems
- Development of systems easily used by customers,
such as high-molecular flocculant dissolving
systems
- Development of new applications utilizing
the technologies of our company and Mitsubishi
Group
As aforementioned, our company is promoting
technical service activities with the motto any
time, anywhere recognizing that the customer
satisfaction is most important, while creating world-first
technologies and unique products. |
