| Dia-Nitrix Co., Ltd. was established in July 2001 as a joint venture between Mitsubishi Rayon Co., Ltd. and Mitsubishi Chemical Corp. Dia-Nitrix engages in an integrated chain of acrylonitrile business operations ranging from the production of the basic raw material -- acrylonitrile (AN) – through the AN-derivative acrylamide, to acrylamide polymer products. As such, it is one of the few chemical companies in the world specializing in AN operations. Thanks to the comprehensive range of its AN operations, Dia-Nitrix exhibits strong cost performance, and it leverages extensive technological expertise built up over a number of years, as well as superior technical service capabilities, to develop, manufacture, and sell products that help improve the quality of life. |

President&CEO |
The company is currently in the midst of Next Stage 2010, its third medium-term management plan, which runs from fiscal 2008 to fiscal 2010. Amid the present difficult business environment, characterized by uncertainty in the financial sector and high prices of fuel and raw materials, the three-year plan period has been positioned by the company’s management as a new growth period. Particularly in view of growing public concern with environmental preservation on a global scale, Dia-Nitrix will be focusing its efforts on further developing its promising waste water purification business through the market launch of new products. In this way, the management hope to raise the company’s market profile significantly. |

The management of Dia-Nitrix will continue to devote efforts to environmental preservation, workplace safety, legal and ethical compliance, and risk management. I look forward to the continued support and encouragement of our stakeholders. |
